Terms and Conditions
LESSON CHARGES FOR 2021
- Private lesson for 30 minutes. Cost $34
- Shared weekly lesson for 30 minutes. Maximum number for group lessons is 2 students, advised by the tutor and Instrumental Music Coordinator. Cost $22
Payment is required before the commencement of lessons each term and if not received by the tutor within two weeks of the invoice due date, students may be refused lessons until payment is paid.
Please note that the following ensembles require a weekly commitment to a Before School (7.30-8.05am), Lunchtime (1.10-1.35pm) or After School (3.20-4.20pm) Rehearsal; and will run for the entirety of the year (except for exam weeks). Ensembles will commence in week 2 of Term 1 in 2021.

|Instrumental Music students who have been learning their instrument for at least 6 months (or otherwise recommended by Instrumental Music Teachers)
|School Production 2021||Tuesdays and Thursdays After School,
Weeks 1 to 5 only (3.30 to 5.30pm)
|Senior music students (Band), auditioned cast members
(Productions will run every 2nd year at this stage)
|Vocal Ensemble||Tuesdays After School||Any Kennedy student welcome, whether in the Instrumental Music program or not!|
|Specialist Guitar Ensemble||Wednesdays Before School||Acoustic, Bass and Electric Guitarists, (by audition)|
|Percussion Ensemble||Wednesday Lunchtimes||Guitarists, Bass player, Drummers, Brass and Woodwind players (by audition)|
|ATAR Bands||Wednesdays After School||Open to Year 11 and 12 ATAR and General Music students only|
|Fusion Band||Thursdays Before School||Guitarists, Bass player, Drummers, Brass and Woodwind players (by audition)|
|Stage Band||Thursdays After School||Guitarists, Vocalists (by audition), Bass Players, Drummers, Brass and Woodwind players|
Students are required to purchase their own instruments and music tutors can provide advice where required.
MISSED LESSON POLICY
If a student cannot attend his/her lesson due to illness, school excursions, extra-curricular activities, or medical appointments, tutors require at least 48 hours' notice via text message or email in order to reschedule the lesson or offer a ‘make-up lesson'. Otherwise, the lesson will be forfeited. It is not sufficient for the student to mention that they may be absent for a lesson the previous week.
To discontinue lessons, parents must request the withdrawal of their child by Week 8 of the previous term, otherwise, the full tuition fee for the term must be paid.
