Sausage Sizzle to Raise Funds

On Friday 5 March we enjoyed a sausage sizzle lunch to raise funds for the James Crofts Hope Foundation. As there are several families in our College who have had to face the challenge of coping with the diagnosis of a brain tumor, we decided to help the James Crofts Hope Foundation raise funds for their support work.

Maker Space is the area put aside in the Research and Study Centre where students and teachers can explore new skills and ideas together – Explore, Inspire, Collaborate

Last year the Maker Space area was expanded with additional storage, table and chairs which have been so beneficial as there is plenty going on.

Chung Hwa Lion Dance troupe visit Kennedy

As part of the Chinese Language Curriculum program, Chung Hwa Lion Dance troupe was invited to put up a spectacular lion dance performance during recess on 18th February.

Lion dance is a form of traditional dance in Chinese culture in which performers mimic a lion's movements in a lion costume to bring good luck, fortune and chase away evil spirits.

Term 1 College Assembly

Yesterday morning we had such a great time at the whole College Assembly. It was nice to see student’s faces without any masks.

We welcomed back some of the high-achieving graduates from 2020 to present them with Outstanding Academic Achievement Awards.

Dear Parents and Families,

Happy new year to all our families, and welcome to Kennedy Baptist College for 2021. I would like to welcome families who are joining us for the first time this year. We trust that everyone has had a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable holiday and are now ready to commence the new academic year.

2020 Public Speaking Competition

As part of the Kennedy Cup, the Kennedy Public Speaking Competition took place on 7 December and was open to all students from Year 7-10. It was amazing to see nine contestants from different year groups participate in our Annual Public Speaking Competition this year.

State-wide SUB’s in Schools Competition – Update 3

The Year 10 Mechatronics class are competing in the state-wide SUB’s in Schools Competition, due to take place at the end of the year. This class has formed a team to build a fully functioning underwater ROV (Remote Operating Vehicle).

The Year 10 mechatronics class has begun finalising their project in preparation for the competition.
