Kennedy Transform Centre Update

Kennedy Transform Centre Update

2020 has so far been a little different than any of us imagined, but we are so grateful that we get this time to reaffirm our purpose and to look at all we do with fresh eyes. We are limited to 10 people gathering at once, and we don’t expect to be able to welcome our kids back until late this year.

We are so proud of our team as they create new and better ways of continuing to lead and train our kids. Staff tutor our kids daily online in groups of five and speak with every child individually every week.

It’s hard but it also means that those kids in the provinces (some families have returned to their province until restrictions are lifted) get just the same care and attention as those in Phnom Penh. Our kids meet with one of our staff, they work through a modified curriculum that lets them help each other, and work at their own pace.

Operation Lighthouse (OL) continues to bless the community. Some of you will be familiar with this initiative to minister to the poor and vulnerable in our communities with hot meals. The COVID restrictions has made life even tougher for some. We have now passed 320,000 healthy meals that have been individually delivered.

The Kennedy Baptist Centre has seven children currently unsponsored if you would like more information on how you can be involved contact the Kennedy Baptist College Admin Office.
