Senior Boys Basketball Team Won Inaugural ACC Championship

Kennedy Baptist College Senior Basketball Team won the inaugural ACC championship held on 22 May 2019 at Bendat Basketball Centre. Kennedy defeated Chisholm Catholic College 52-46. Approximately 55 schools competed in this new elimination competition which has replaced the previous NAS/SAS Interzone final.

The Senior Boys Basketball Team was coached by Mr Andy Stewart and Specialist Basketball Program Co-ordinator, Mr Benjamin Pether. It was a great game played by Co-Captains Kayden Malseed (MVP and 28 points), and Noah Stewart (best defensive player). Mr Stewart said; "The students played very well as a team. Well done to Year 10 Thomas Malseed on having an impact in the second half of the game."

About the ACC Championship:

The ACC Championship is an all association elimination tournament culminating in the crowning of the ACC Champion School in each sport. This tournament has replaced the Interzone NAS V SAS Finals. The Championship involves senior boys and girls teams in Basketball, Soccer and girls Netball from across the Associated and Catholic Colleges.
